After the foundation of the DWGTCM our first goal was the co-ordination of the educational chaos in Germany and to set standards. Therefore a curriculum was developed. Six of the leading educating TCM-organisations followed this curriculum officially. Many others copied the program and renamed it. With our six partners a unique co-operation took place. It was possible the first time in Germany to take courses from different organisations without losing time to fulfil the standards: the DWGTCM-credit-point-system.
Second goal was to develop a modern communication system between the TCM-therapists and an interface for patients wanting impartial information about TCM. The internet domain http://www.dwgtcm.com was a shooting star. Within the first half year of its existence more than 20,000 visits were counted. A network of DWGTCM-members now can communicate via email independently of their localisation. Members are informed just in time about news and discussions in the world of TCM and in health care politics.
Another important corner stone of our work is the information of medical students about TCM and the possibilities to study TCM nationally and internationally.
